Yangtze River Delta CRE (Central Asia) Train Services

Increase by 27.3% in First Two Months of the Year

In the first two months of this year, the number of CRE (Central Asia) Train services operated in the Yangtze River Delta recorded strong growth, with a total of 525 trains dispatched, representing a year-on-year increase of 27.3%. Goods such as complete vehicles, auto parts and daily chemical products have been continuously transported to countries along the routes.

Since the launch of the first CRE (Central Asia) Train (Suzhou-Warsaw) on September 29, 2013, after more than a decade of market development, the number of operating routes in the Yangtze River Delta has expanded from one to 15, reaching 36 countries across Eurasia. Among them, 25 countries are in Europe, including Germany, Spain and the United Kingdom, while 11 countries are in Asia, including Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

At present, the Yangtze River Delta has formed distinct outbound cargo structures: Yiwu-bound trains to Europe mainly carry small commodities; Suzhou-bound trains to Hamburg, Germany and Warsaw, Poland primarily transport electronic products and electrical appliances; and Hefei-bound trains to Hamburg mainly carry household appliances and machinery products. In the first two months of this year, Yiwu CRE (Central Asia) Train services alone operated 152 trains, transporting 16,000 TEUs.
