At 17:06 on March 7, the first tourist train to Tibet in 2026 arrived at Lhasa Railway Station. More than 510 tourists from across the country enjoyed magnificent views of plateau Gobi deserts, snow-capped mountains and salt lakes along the journey, and successfully reached Lhasa, known as the "City of Sunshine." Going forward, CR Qingzang will closely align with the seasonal transition between winter and spring and the strong demand in the tourism market, and will successively launch tourist trains to multiple destinations and with diverse themes, including Nyingchi and Hong Kong and Macao. These efforts will continue to enrich railway tourism products, deepen the integrated development of culture and tourism on plateau railways, and provide passengers with a more comfortable, convenient and high-quality travel experience.
