Capacity Expansion Project on the Aksu-Bachu Section
of the Southern Xinjiang Railway Officially Launched

On March 1, the capacity expansion and upgrading project for the Aksu-Bachu section of the Southern Xinjiang Railway was officially launched. The project will significantly enhance transport capacity through key measures such as the construction of eight additional passing stations, providing strong support for economic and social development in southern Xinjiang.
After the expansion, the initial transport capacity of this section is expected to reach 20.91 million tons, with an average of 39.2 train pairs per day. This will significantly reduce overall logistics costs, facilitate the efficient outbound transport of specialty agricultural products and industrial goods from southern Xinjiang, and support the formation of an integrated transportation network characterized by smooth internal circulation and strong external connectivity, thereby promoting comprehensive rural revitalization and high-quality regional economic development.
