China-North Korea International Passenger Trains
Resume Two-Way Operation from March 12
Starting from March 12, 2026, international passenger trains between Beijing and Dandong in China and Pyongyang in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea will resume two-way operation, further promoting personnel exchanges, economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
The China-North Korea international passenger trains serve not only as an important window for cross-border passenger services but also as a moving link that strengthens friendship between the two nations. To ensure safe and smooth operation, railway authorities of both countries have strengthened inspections of locomotives and rolling stock to ensure optimal condition, while conducting advanced professional training for relevant staff to provide passengers with a high-quality cross-border travel experience.
